Before Ascent Academy ever had a name, God was already training me in Nassau, Bahamas.
For nearly twenty years, I poured myself into teaching, building, and shaping young girls through what became the Future School of Dance — creating productions, coaching champions, and watching rooms overflow… and then empty again. And still, deep inside, I knew I was living inside a smaller version of what Heaven had shown me. I was moving in my gift, but I wasn’t yet walking in the full weight of my calling.
Doors opened and closed. Studios filled and emptied. People celebrated me, and then walked away. But through every rise and fall, God was refining me. The betrayals, the spiritual warfare, the hidden pressure — none of it was random, and none of it was ever about my worth. It was preparation. God was breaking my agreement with “small,” so I could carry what He had already written over my life.
And then came the shift.
When I stepped into the United States, I didn’t realize I was walking into divine displacement. Alabama came first — and it was heavy. The atmosphere was sharp, and God began showing me clearly what did not belong to me. Florida came next — but instead of relief, it became another classroom. Promises fell through. Doors stayed shut. And then came the breaking point… the night everything fell apart, and I ended up with nowhere to go but the shelter.
But even there — God was speaking.
“Daughter, this is not your home. You are not planted here. Return to where I assigned you.”
And He made a way. He used strangers. He opened doors. He secured the tickets. And He brought me back — not in shame, but in alignment.
What looked like devastation was direction.
Then came the breaking — not to destroy me, but to separate me. When the pandemic hit and everything collapsed, it looked like loss… but in my spirit, I knew it was a divine reset. Because what God was building was never just choreography. It was never just talent. It was never just performance.
It was purpose.
This is why youth empowerment matters.
This is why women’s empowerment matters.
Because when you reach the young early, you save the woman before she breaks.
And when you heal the woman, you transform the generation behind her.
Ascent Academy & Ministries exists for this one reason:
so that every daughter God entrusts to this house — child, teen, and woman — doesn’t only grow…
She rises.
Here, we build discipline — but we also build identity.
We build excellence — but we also build purity.
We build posture — but we also build purpose.
We build strength — but we also build spiritual foundation.
Because this is not a business idea. This is a God-built house.
A consecrated training ground where movement and ministry meet — where daughters learn how to carry themselves with grace, speak with wisdom, and rise with confidence rooted in truth.
This is His vision. I’m the vessel.
And this is your invitation into the ascent.
